Merrell Chameleon Wrap Gore-Tex XCR Shoe reviews

Travel up hills and down the pub with equal ease and panache

Review posted by Simon, November 22, 2008, 2:49 am:

Pros: Forgot my walking boots on a weekend away, bought these, walked 12 miles same day in driving rain, finished with dry feet and not the slightest new footware discomfort - super comfortable

Cons: hard soles lack a bit of grip on hard slippy surface

Excellent Shoe, Highly Recommended.

Review posted by Darren, November 22, 2008, 2:49 am:

Pros: Great comfort for long walks, both hill and road.. Vibram sole is sturdy but flexible. Gore-tex lining is as water resistant as should be necessary. I've had mine a year and they still look as good as new.

Cons: Gore-tex can make your feet hot and sweaty. If for any reason they become saturated they take a very long time to dry out. The soles in mine have started squeaking which can be irritating after a while, that's about it.

If I only had one piece of footwear it would be these

Review posted by John Fields, November 22, 2008, 2:49 am:

Pros: Really comfortable. Excellent support / stiff sole. waterproof. Hardwearing. Faster on the hills than boots (in summer) and just as much traction / control

Cons: Goretex can make for hot feet but worth it for the protection it brings. Could be lighter.
