Review of Leki Carbonlite Trekking Pole

Review by Tom Shaw 25th October 2009, 13:47Superb lightweight Kit-the best poles out1

Carbonlite Trekking Pole

The good:

Lightweight is the key here, you hardly know you are using them, even more advantageous when put on the pack when on 'Climbing' territory. Ideal Poles for alpine trips/scottish winter. an excellent comfortable handgrip with easily and quickly adjustable straps enables them to be used properly with the weight being taken on the wrists. Very user friendly with good tungsten tips and appropriate sized basket.

The bad:

A couple of occasions noted the baskets working loose need checking and tightening. Additionally, may find them hard to release in Winter /wet conditions on occasions, but this is inherrent with most poles of this 'fastening' style.
